Germany: A Career Progression Destination

Learning

You’ve got to hear this! Germany is the new hot destination right now, and it offers an incredible experience. Don’t miss out on the buzz!

The HSBC Expat Explorer’s findings showed that Germany was a top choice for those looking to upgrade their lifestyle and well-being. Survey respondents had an incredibly positive experience living in Germany, which speaks volumes about what the country has to offer.

Germany’s vice chancellor said the country could accommodate 500,000 migrants annually for the next several years and that $6.6 billion has been set aside for costs to implement processes and accommodate them. Already, Germany has Europe’s largest population of migrants, just shy of 11.43 million in total.

Have you ever wondered why Germany is such a great place to live? Well, the fact that Germany is well known for its comprehensive welfare system, amongst many other things, may convince you to put Germany as your next career destination.

  • Good jobs and salaries & shorter working h
  • Universal healthcare
  • Clean environment and good public transportations
  • A great place for studies
  • Low crime rate
  • Cultural attractions

Other than that, Germany has an organised and efficient immigration process, which makes the migration process easier and hassle-free for most people worldwide. Germany’s growing need for skilled workers has pushed it to make its immigration process easier and less complicated.

In fact, Germany required the support of 400,000 immigrants each year to remain competitive. Since the 1970s, Germany’s birth rate has declined quite dramatically, and at the same time, the average life expectancy has been increasing. Without immigration, the potential number of workers in Germany will see a 40% decrease by 2060! Immigration is important for Germany because it plays an important role in social and economic development.

Germany has one of the world’s most organised and fastest immigration processes. People immigrate to Germany for work, studies, business, family reunions, and more. Interested in making your move? Here are some factors you need to consider before making a major move:

  • Proof of financial stability
  • Health insurance
  • German visa
  • Basic proficiency in German

Why is basic proficiency in German so essential? There are 3 levels of language proficiency in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): A, B, and C.

They are further divided into A1/A2 or basic proficiency, B1/B2 or proficient in the language, and finally, C1/C2 or advanced language skills and the level of a native speaker! In order to immigrate to Germany to pursue a professional career, you must have a B1 level. If you intend on getting permanent residency, you will need a higher proficiency level (C1 or C2).

Germany is a great place to be. But to move to Germany, you must at least have basic proficiency in the German language. When you study German with Agape School of Education, Singapore, we can assist you in your migration to Germany and help you pursue your dreams!
