Ms Patricia Seah

About Me

Sà-wàd-dii /สวัสดี / Hello, everyone. My name is Patricia Seah. But my students call me Kruu Pat.

I am a Thai native speaker and Thai language teacher. I have been teaching Thai at the Agape School of Education for almost 2 years. My courses here are tailored to foreign students, aged 7-16 years who want to learn Thai at a conversational level.

That said, my past experience as a Thai-English teacher for foreign adult learners in Thailand, has given me the ability to teach at all levels. Additionally, I have 2 years of working experience with an international company, where I taught my foreign colleagues Thai for communication, the Thai language, culture and mentality.

I love teaching the Thai language and motivating my students to go further in their goals. It is a welcome challenge to find creative ways to help my students on their Thai language journey. In addition to my custom-prepared learning materials, I use familiar objects and concepts, and adapt my teaching to each student. This way, I ensure that topics are relevant, of interest and stimulating to my student. Because exposure is important when learning a language, I always dedicate time to reviewing previous topics and ensuring my students truly understand the concepts. Instead of giving my students set vocabulary lists, I prefer to focus on words and sentences that they will actually use in everyday life.

It’s not all work in my classes! Patient, friendly, understanding, prepared and flexible, I am open to discussions in class. I’ve always been driven to develop my skills as an educator.

I am available for one-on-one tutoring, private class and group instruction. Let me know if you need direction in Thai conversational skills for travel, comprehension, reading or writing. That way, I can focus on the learner, what you need to know and what you want to learn.

“Learning a language is hard, but there are ways to make it easier and enjoy with it!!” I can’t wait to work with YOU!

Teaching Approach

My style of teaching is “friendly, effective and fun”. I am an ally and resource to my students. I believe that if you love what you are studying, you will find the inspiration to go further. My lessons are unique because of my ability to adapt to students’ diverse learning styles, which facilitates a faster learning experience. My approach is to set clear goals with the student and discover creative ways to help them achieve those goals.

Any level of students is welcome. I’m looking forward to seeing you!
